Badge Week ~ w/c 16 June 2025

Held every 3 months at John Pounds Centre and Hilsea, Badge Week commences today, Monday 16th June, and is a chance for all of us to celebrate our gymnasts' hard work and achievements.

The annual Badge Scheme covers all four Badge Weeks throughout the year and will automatically recur annually unless cancelled.

All gymnasts pass their badge due to our inclusive programme, so anyone who has enrolled in the Badge Scheme gets their badge every 3 months, plus an end-of-year completion award once they have completed 12 consecutive months of gymnastics.

Badge presentation will be at the beginning or end of your gymnast's normal session and will involve parents being invited into the gym by coaches while gymnasts line up for presentation.

The timings for badge presentation are below. Please note, timings are approximate and may vary by a minute or two from the below. Please be patient with your gymnasts' coaches whilst they organise this:

Please note, where we will open the gym doors at 10 minutes to the hour for badge presentation, please ensure that you only enter the gym if your child is in the current session and about to receive their badge - for example, not if your child is in the next session which is due to start in 10 minutes. If your child is not enrolled in the badge scheme, please do not enter the gym but wait outside the gym to collect your child when their session finishes.

We are happy for parents to take pictures of their gymnasts with their badges! Please do not photograph anyone else's gymnasts. We ask you to kindly take your pictures standing in front of the Viva Gymnastics sign on the wall, rather than by the equipment.
