Level 1

FUNdamentals at John Pounds Centre, Portsmouth

Our FUNdamental sessions are where gymnasts learn the fundamentals of gymnastics through game-based sessions which are suitable for young, nervous or beginner gymnasts.

Level 2

Introduction to Gymnastics at Skill Centre, Hilsea = £30

Gymnasts start to explore our full-size equipment, working half the pieces one week and the second half on the next week.

Level 3

2-hour Gymnastics at Skill Centre, Hilsea = £50

Gymnasts use all pieces of equipment, learning gymnastics for fun. Gymnasts learn the basics in the first hour of each session and progress onto harder skills in the second hour.

Level 4

3-hour Squad at Skill Centre, Hilsea = £65

Congratulations! Your gymnast is in one of our development squads! Gymnasts word towards British Gymnastics competitive pathways, with strength and flexibility training, learning BG competitive routines.

Coaches look for talent in gymnasts, and most importantly a strong work ethic. For gymnasts to progress, training sufficient hours importantly means there is enough time that strength, flexibility and skill acquisition can be achieved in each session. The squad sessions enable gymnasts to be appropriately grouped into groups of similar age, ability and level which enables faster progression and skill acquisition.

This plan is subsidised at a lower hourly rate to help families to allow gymnasts to participate.

Level 5

6-hour Squad at Skill Centre, Hilsea = £90

Congratulations, your gymnast has progressed amazingly within their development squad and, due to their hard work ethic, has been invited to add on their second training day.

The two days are 3-hour training days. Please note, gymnasts are asked to do two 2-hour sessions initially while they are young, moving up to two 3-hour sessions when they are ready.

Please note that this session is invite-only; gymnasts will only be considered when they are ready physically and mentally. Gymnasts following the WAG (Women's Artistic Gymnastics) pathway train Mondays and Fridays 4-7pm. Gymnasts choosing the tumble pathway train Tuesday and Thursday 4-7pm.

This plan is further subsidised at an even lower hourly rate to help facilitate training for gymnasts.

Level 6

Women's Artistic Gymnastics add-on at Skill Centre, Hilsea

Fantastic achievement, your gymnast has shown amazing progress within their squad and is ready to increase their hours.

This is INVITE-ONLY - please talk to your coaches about accessing the add-on.

The plan is very heavily subsidised to a nominal amount to allow gymnasts to access training.

Competitions / Festivals

Our friendly internal competitions are run several times per year, as a celebration of our wonderful gymnasts and their participation in gymnastics.

The gymnasts learn and perfect routines over the weeks of the year. The routines are based on British Gymnastics competitive routines, with our squad gymnasts working progressionally towards the BG routines and our recreational gymnasts working the preparations towards the skills within the routines.
