Badge Fortnight

Held every 3 months at both our Portsmouth and Hilsea sites, Badge Fortnight commences today, Monday 9th September 2024, and is a chance for all of us to celebrate our gymnasts' hard work and achievements.

Everyone can enrol their gymnast in our annual Badge Scheme, which replaces the old Badge Week (where payment was made quarterly) with a single annual payment. If you've already bought the Badge Scheme, you don't need to buy it again as it will recur automatically the following year unless cancelled.

All gymnasts pass their badge due to our inclusive programme, so anyone who has enrolled in the Badge Scheme gets their badge every 3 months, plus an end-of-year completion award.

Badge presentation will be at the beginning or end of your gymnast's normal session and will involve parents being invited into the gym by coaches while gymnasts line up for presentation.

The timings for badge presentation are below. Please note, timings are approximate and may vary by a minute or two from the below. Please be patient with your gymnasts' coaches whilst they organise this:

We are happy for parents to take pictures of their gymnasts with their badges! At John Pounds, we ask you to kindly take a picture in front of the Viva Gymnastics sign on the wall in the gym.

At Hilsea, we would ask parents who wish to take a picture to please do so either in front of the large Viva Gymnastics sign on the outside of the building, or in front of our backdrops in the cafe area.
